Are Jordanians eligible?
Eligibility is based on country of birth and the list of eligible countries changes every year. Check the current year's list in the official instructions on dvprogram.state.gov before you start, and do not rely on previous years.
If you were born outside Jordan, or your spouse was born in a different country, read the "eligibility country" rules carefully.
How do you write your name in English?
Arabic names have many spellings (Mohammad, Mohammed, Muhammad). What matters is that you write your name exactly as it appears in your passport, letter by letter, not the way you usually spell it.
You can find the spelling in the machine-readable lines at the bottom of your passport data page. Our data form shows spelling suggestions when you type in Arabic, but always use what is written in your passport.
Cities, addresses and phone numbers
Write your birth city and address in English letters (for example Amman, Irbid, Zarqa). Write the phone number with the country code, such as +962791234567.
The mailing address must be complete and understandable. If you have no postal code, leave it empty.
The photo and checking it
Take the photo against a light background with good lighting, then check it for free with our tool before registering. Remember each family member needs a separate photo.
Apply yourself or with help
You can register yourself on the official site, or use an independent service like ours to review your details and submit with your consent. Either way you are responsible for the accuracy of the data.
